Free Culper Spy Ring Distance Learning Program

About

Hi: We are interested in broadcasting this program from a new venue: from the actual historic Brewster House (home to Joseph Brewster, cousin of Caleb Brewster who was a member of the Culper Spy Ring). I am looking for a school to do a version of this program in May in June. Program is free! We would ask for constructive feedback. Program Description: Transport your students to America’s birthplace of Espionage!  Time traveling to colonial tavern, the Brewster House, in 1776 students engage in a Virtual Reader’s Theater as characters during the American Revolution! This educational program inspires children in the love of reading and theater as they debate the basic ideas of a democracy as Patriots and Loyalists.  The plot thickens as students discover a plot by Benedict Arnold to betray General Washington. Assuming roles as the Culper Spies, students use invisible ink and numeric codes to write secret messages.
