Cisco Collaboration Teacher Badge

The Cisco Collaboration Teacher Badge is for educator(s) that have collaborated using Webex. The educator has connected beyond geographic borders to plan and deliver lessons with their students. Ideally, this badge is for 2 or more teachers working together on a lesson or unit of study in which the students are collaborating to produce an educational outcome. Educators will gain the following competencies which are aligned to ISTE Standards for Educators.

To Earn this Badge

  • Submit an Intent to Participate form to CILC.

  • Fill out an application form of intent and CILC will provide you with instruction to obtain your webex account. CILC staff will provide a training video, links and work with you to schedule your live training workshop at a time of your convenience if desired. (ISTE 5c)

  • Review the Cisco Webex Privacy and Security FAQ for Webex use with minors

  • Use the CILC Collaboration Center site to post and find another teacher(s) to collaborate with. You may also join an existing Collaboration. (ISTE 1b)

  • Participate in the Collaboration using Webex. (ISTE 4a,4b,4c)

  • Document the experience by creating a 2-3 minute recording about the Collaboration. (ISTE 4a) Here are some sample Topics for Video Recordings.

  • Submit artifacts of learning:

    • Link to video recording

    • Make sure that you provide a video release for yourself and any other individuals in your recording, including students. You may submit your district’s release form or submit the CILC Release.
