Format
1. The program begins with a participatory song.
2. Students discuss the passage of time.
3. Students compare and contrast their own lives with that of early settlers.
4. Students have ample time for questions and answers.
Objectives
After participating in this program, students will be able to compare and contrast their lives today with that of early settlers. Students will explore daily frontier life, gender roles, chores and responsibilities, and leisure time activities of the children at the time. Students will also have a better understanding of how we can learn about history and record our own activities.
