Program Details

Format

1. This program begins with a short video familiarizing the audience with the location and mission of the Alaska Zoo.
2. Introduction to staff member and encounter animals.
3. Enrichment and Discussion-Background of snow leopard natural history and adaptations.
4. Discoveries with biofacts-skulls and teeth.
5. Awesome Adaptations via photos and videos.
6. Time allowed for questions and answers.

Objectives

Through this program participants should be able to:
*List some characteristics of snow leaopards.
*Describe snow leopard adaptations and how they are used for survival.
*Identify where they live and what they eat.
