Virtual Flower Power

by  Denver Botanic Gardens

Program image

Flowers are beautiful, but their real and important purpose is for reproduction. Students will investigate flowers and learn how they help in the process of pollination and seed formation. Using video conferencing technology, an instructor from the Gardens will guide your students through a flower dissection in a virtual visit to your classroom.

***Please note: teachers will need to purchase a bouquet of Alstroemeria (Peruvian lily) flowers from a local grocery store or florist.***
