Format

I. Identify former President Abraham Lincoln and discuss what presidents do
II. Read about Abe Lincoln’s life and discuss his character traits
III. Sing a song about Abe Lincoln
IV. Recite the Pledge of Allegiance and discuss the words “with liberty and justice for all”
V. Find Abe Lincoln on various types of money – look at the new pennies that are to honor different times in his life
VI. Watch a video of an interview with a Lincoln impersonator to learn more about his life

• State the job of a president.
• List events in his life.
• List character traits Lincoln had and why they are important.
• Identify the types of money on which Lincoln can be found.
