We will reschedule at no additional cost for programs canceled due to nature i.e. snow days or technical difficulties, or rescheduled prior to two weeks within scheduled program. We will add a 10% processing fee for rescheduling within two weeks of scheduled date. Cancellations made prior to two weeks of scheduled program receive 50% refund. Program Details

Format

1. Students are asked to identify women's health issues that they are already aware of, and key terms are defined.
2. Slideshow and physical specimens are used to illustrate various health issues.
3. Feminine hygiene products are displayed and their proper use demonstrated (with the models!)
4. Questions are invited throughout the program, or written questions are answered at the end.

Objectives

Students will:
• Identify major structures and functions of the female reproductive system.
• Identify typical physical and emotional changes that occur during the ovulation cycle. • Describe the processes and hormonal causes of ovulation, menstruation, and pre-
menstrual syndrome.
• Demonstrate how to do a Breast Self Exam for signs of breast cancer.
• Define specific symptoms of cystitis, yeast infections, and Toxic shock syndrome and
what to do if they may be at risk of these infections.
• Describe the potential link between tampon use and Toxic shock syndrome, and the
correct way to use tampons if a girl chooses to do so.
