| Program Description | Let our African Animals be your safari guides through the unique habitats of the continent of Africa. Learn about how animals make a living in such a diverse environment. | |
| Program Format |
1. The students are introduced to Africa as the second largest continent in the world and the only one that is split in half by the equator. 2. They compare two different biomes in Africa: the savannahs and the rainforests. 3. The students learn how plants and animals are adapted in order to survive in the African savannahs and in the African rainforests. 4. Students get to meet 2 live animals, one from the savannahs and one from the rainforests. 5. Time for questions and answers. |

| Objectives |
Students will be able to point out on a map the location of Africa and how it is split into 3 different major biomes. Students will explore the adaptations that plants and animals develop when their environments are different and always changing. Students will meet live animals from Africa and have a chance to study their specific adaptations. |
