President Kennedy’s tragic death in Dallas, Texas on November 22, 1963 was a transformational moment for those who lived through it. But does that historic event still matter today, especially for young people born long after the assassination happened? Shared Stories follows Angela and D.J. as they investigate a mysterious old document while listening to memories of individuals who lived through that fateful day. In the process Angela and D.J. fall under the spell of the powerful voices and images from the past and, ultimately, discover the value in every story.
We would like to do this Tuesday, May 15 at 10:00 am CDT and are looking for a middle or high school class that would be willing to participate. This will be free, provided that you agree to do both verbal feedback immediately and written feedback that would be mailed/emailed to us. We would also need to have it recorded so that we could play it back for the scholars when they visit the following week.
