Objective of Collaboration
Seeking partners; Grades 2-3 1. Read the story A Plump and Perky Turkey by Lisa Bateman to your class as a whole group (This book is currently out of print; if you do not have a copy, I can forward a PowerPoint photo album for you to share with your class). 2. Each Student receives a copy of the "Naked Turkey". The students disguise or camouflage the turkey. (I will forward the templates and a parent letter that have been shared from other participants in the project. The parent letter is only necessaryif you wish for your students to complete the turkey at home. This is what we have done; you get some great projects!) 3. Students fill in dialogue bubble. Can provide sentence starter if desired "I am not a turkey".... 4. When we meet for video conferencing, our students will take turns sharing their turkeys.
