Objective of Collaboration
Where does cotton come from: Animal, plant, trees,or is cotton man-made? "“The average American is three generations removed from the farm and does not have a clear understanding of where their food and fiber comes from.” American Farm Bureau Kings County Office of Education in partnership with Kings County Farm Bureau created a highly interactive program intended to create awareness among your students how cotton provides fiber and food in their lives today. Historical pictures, video, discussion, and activities during the videoconference help tell the remarkable story of Cotton. We send a program packet and each student will receive a cotton fiber sample right from the boll. Please locate "The Wonder of Cotton" on CILC and look at available dates. We are flexible on your selected start time.
