CILC, long known as the "go to" organization for aggregated interactive videoconferencing resources and opportunities is kicking off a new era in collaborative technologies! Come join CILC's new Executive Director, Jan Zanetis, to learn more about new ventures, partnerships and services supporting educators on all levels. CILC's seven searchable databases of Content, Professional Development, Collaborations and Academic Classes offer variety and support for educators on multiple levels, and CILC's multi-functional and multi-faceted website combines with their consulting and training opportunities to lead the way in interactive education.

Janet Zanetis, M.Ed. was recently selected by the Board of the Center for Interactive Learning and Collaboration (CILC) to serve as their Executive Director. Zanetis has spent the greater part of her career advocating for the adoption of interactive video technology in schools. This includes the last two years working as an Education Advocate for Cisco Systems in Australia. In that role she spent much of her time in schools and universities helping educators to successfully implement video technologies and resources into their teaching. Since Zanetis left the classroom in 2000, she has worked with CILC as a content provider at Vanderbilt University Virtual School and as a corporate partner while she was a global Education Market Manager at TANDBERG (now part of Cisco). Zanetis has 25 years experience as an educator, trainer, distance learning director, consultant, communicator, and strategist. She has co-authored two books on the use of Interactive Videoconferencing in K12 classrooms. Zanetis has published research notes, journal articles and whitepapers covering many aspects of eLearning technologies and their applications. She has keynoted or presented at dozens of national and international education conferences. She has served on the Board of Directors of the US Distance Learning Association, is former vice-president of the Tennessee Distance Learning Association, and is president emeritus of the ISTE special interest group, SIG-IVC. Most recently Zanetis was elected to the Board of Directors of the International Society for Technology in Education (ISTE). She holds an M.Ed.in Education and a B.S. in Elementary and Special Education.
