About the Content Provider

The Children’s Education Program
of Performing Arts Fort Worth at Bass Performance Hall develops and presents
performing arts programs that are curriculum-related, age-appropriate, and
designed to educate and inspire as well as cultivate artists and arts patrons
of tomorrow. Our Student Performance Program, presented at Bass Performance
Hall, serves annually 70,000 students in grades 1-12 and is free to all
participants. Performances include collaborations with Bass Hall’s resident
companies and other regional and touring artists. Children’s Education Program
study guides specifically reference Texas state curriculum guidelines,
connecting performances and classroom studies.

The Bass Performance Hall is considered one of the finest performance venues in the country, with pristine acoustics and state of the art equipment. It is home to the Fort Worth Symphony Orchestra, the Texas Ballet Theater, The Van Cliburn Piano Competition and Concert Season and the Fort Worth Opera.

Here's what others are saying about our programs

I
wanted to let you know how much our 5th graders enjoyed the
performance yesterday of Copland and the Common Man. A few things that
they said in reflection were as follows: It was soothing, powerful,
moving. They were very impressed with the loud sound of the timpani and
how the orchestra sounded so much like a train.

Thank
you so much for making such events possible for our children! I grew up
in a small town in a school with no music program—I always try to help students
understand how very privileged they are to have such amazing musical
encounters!
