Program Details

Format

We begin with an introduction to Alaska and its coastlines. Students will review the characteristics of mammals, then make direct observations of our seals and sea lions to examine their adaptations for life in Alaska's oceans.

Objectives

Participants will be able to describe & discuss advantages of several physical and behavioral adaptations of various marine mammals in Alaska.
