Format
1) During the videoconference, the instructor shares images or animated sequences that illustrate the day’s lesson.
2) Instruction on the techniques of stop animation and the fundamentals of telling a story with images.
3) Students will share their progress with the instructor and with the class during the videoconference.
4) Q&A throughout/ opportunities for feedback, as well as individual consultation with the instructor.
Objectives
Participants will:
1) Learn the technical skills required to photograph a series of images to be animated in a computer program
2) Learn how to convey a story in visual terms, including how to storyboard/create a logical sequence of events and produce emotional tone
3) Learn of the art historical context of capturing and reproducing movement in early photography/ cinema
